Press Release Body: Ann Arbor, MI/March 5, 2008 - Chris Lin, award winning author, of the acclaimed children's book series Mandy and Pandy, will be holding a book signing and reading in Troy, Michigan on Saturday, March 8th at 1 to 5 P.M. at the Borders Bookstore located at Oakland Mall. The first two books of the series, Mandy and Pandy Say "Ni Hao Ma?" and Mandy and Pandy Play Let\'s Count will both be available for purchase during the signing. Mandy and Pandy is an exciting series of twelve educational children's books, teaching parents and their children to speak Chinese.
"Mandy and Pandy looks forward to helping teach Chinese to children and those who are young in their hearts," said Lin. "Our year is full of appearances across the country and we are excited to be meeting new friends as we embark on our journey and particularly our home base in Michigan."
Having returned from the launch of the series second book, Mandy and Pandy Play Let\'s Count at Toy Fair 2008 in New York City, this book signing will be the first chance for local residents to see the newest book in the series. Colorful and exciting illustrations make the latest book enjoyable and educational while Mandy and Pandy learn how to count from one through ten.
Mandy and Pandy Say "Ni Hao Ma?" and Mandy and Pandy Play Let\'s Count both feature captivating CDs to help children, and parents, retain the dialog and numbers they have learned. These wonderful books also include Chinese characters as well as pin yin phonetics which help you pronounce the Chinese characters. Free finger puppets, featuring the book characters Mandy and Pandy, are given to those at the book signing who purchase both books.

Chris Lin is originally from Troy, Michigan where he played football on the State Finalist "Giant Killers" in 1985, and graduated as class president in 1987 from Troy High School. Lin went on to earn a BA in Economics and an MBA in marketing from University of Michigan and spent several years studying Chinese. When he brought his adopted daughter, Mandy, from China to Chinese class over a year ago, he realized that there was a need for fun books that made learning Chinese easy.
